Story Bridge: Essential Maintenance and Lane Closures

• Current Status: A single southbound lane remains closed 24 hours a day. This closure is scheduled to continue until 9:00 PM on Saturday, 11 April.
• Impact: Motorists should anticipate significant delays and are encouraged to allow extra travel time or use alternative routes, such as the Captain Cook Bridge or the Clem7 tunnel.
• Access: Pedestrian and cyclist access across the bridge remains open. Emergency services will maintain priority access at all times.

Public Transport: Major Rail Network Shutdown

Translink has issued a high-priority notice regarding the ongoing 23-day rail network shutdown, which remains in effect through Sunday, 26 April 2026. On this Easter Monday public holiday, passengers should expect reduced bus frequency and high volumes across the network.

• Affected Lines: Airport, Beenleigh, Caboolture, Doomben, Gold Coast, Redcliffe Peninsula, Shorncliffe, and Sunshine Coast lines.
• Service Details: Full bus replacements are in operation for the majority of these routes to facilitate the installation of new digital signalling systems and Cross River Rail upgrades.
